The body of one of the lecturers of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, who drowned in Ovia River last week Wednesday, has been recovered.
The corpse, identified as that of Mrs. Shirley Imade, was recovered on Saturday.
Earlier, the bodies of two of the male lecturers, involved in the accident, Mr. Morgan Uwoghiren and Lucky Ehiorobo had been recovered, when the vehicle in which they were travelling was pulled out of the river after a four-hour rescue operation.
Late Shirley and three other lecturers of the university were travelling to Benin from Okada, when their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into Ovia River, while avoiding a head-on collusion with a trailer that swerved into their lane while avoiding a bad portion of the road.
Benin Tollgate Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Ameen Adewale, confirmed that the corpse of Mrs. Shirley had been recovered.
