President Jonathan’s National Dialogue, like the previous talk-shops is just to give illusory hope to the poor that government is concerned, & to the class of looters, it is to pacify & re-accomodate those who are broke among them but have joined the chorus for the National Dialogue.
The problem of Nigeria is not National Dialogue or constitutional changes; the issue is: Who controls the economy & for what purpose?
This issue can ONLY be settled through serious struggle that will either overthrow the extant class of looters or @ the least, COMPEL them to a compromise of acceding to the People’s Social Welfare & at same time still looting in the US & other imperialist countries’ Style.
In any unjust society, the poor oppressed classes enjoy a measure of freedom based on the struggle that is waged. For instance, the struggle in the Education sector, the Polytechnic unions, despite months of strike are yet to achieve their demands but ASUU was able to achieve its own because the union was resolute, principled & combative to the end.
The struggle to either OVERTHROW the class of thieves or compromise to Social welfare needs for the poor MUST be clear that sufferings occur because the rulers loot, hence the Masses & their organised leadership MUST be resolute, principled & combative to d end.
A Political movement (not electoral party) that can Educate, Mobilise & Organise the Masses of Nigeria for Mass Uprising to OVERTHROW the present unjust system is the least Nigerians need now and some of us are committed to work for the BIRTH of such movement soonest.
No serious struggle succeeds without pains & sacrifices.
The National Dialogue is about Political power and the purposes it is used for. Have you ever read of anywhere where the Slave master willingly allows the Slaves a measure of freedom?
If a National Dialogue will hold in Nigeria, it means the people must be resolved to confront the class of looters BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY & as long as it takes & with whatever sacrifices it requires to COMPEL them not to be able to RULE us as they are doing now but submit to our demands.
The serious struggle I’m talking about is not showy T-shirts/banners, jeun-jeun struggle of few days or one that after a week, people will be crying “we are hungry, we are tired o”.
A serious struggle must make the country ungovernable, must make everywhere a no-go places for the class of looters. It is such a struggle that will inevitably demobilise the armed forces not to take orders again from whoever is President/Govs, etc, but will then SIDE with people’s leadership. That is the kind of struggle that can FREE us & make Nigeria work for the poor masses.
Make no mistakes; Nigeria is working for the class of looters & their cronies & family members. Those members of the looters who are disgruntled only cry up to the point they are settled. It is the Poor like you and the over 100 million wretched of the society that are the victims because, the more the resources are looted, the more the growing rates of unemployment & lacking social welfare to the masses, etc.
The Battle Cry will sound soonest from some of us. We are either Free people or we are condemned to servitude!
Overthrowing the present unjust order in the face of a TREASON Charge is an Unavoidable Path some of us MUST be prepared to face!
